How to use Studyclix with your class

By Whitney Williams - 5 minute read

We'd like you to get the most out of your free Studyclix account. This blog explains all the features on your teacher account that you can use with your class; make sure to try them all!

Studyclix is jam-packed with helpful tools, features and content for students and teachers. We know you might not be aware of all of them, so make sure to keep reading to learn how you can use our site to simplify your teaching and further help your students.

Exam Builder

This tool lets you create exams for your classes using past exam questions in minutes. Check out the steps below for how to use it:

  • 1

Pick the topic from which you'd like to select exam questions

  • 2

Browse our bank of past exam questions on that topic and choose the questions you'd like to add to the exam.

  • 3

Make any changes or additions to the exam: you can add a duration, space for students' names, additional notes, etc.

  • 4

Finish the process and choose to print or download your exam in PDF form which you can then share with your class.

Exams are saved to your account in the 'Assessments' section, so you can always find old exams there to edit them or copy them.

Tip! You can create custom questions in the Exam Builder too. When selecting past exam questions, click '+ create a custom question' to write your own question from scratch and then insert it into your exam.

Quiz Builder

Our Quiz Builder is a quick and easy way for you to test your students' knowledge on a topic or subject without having to do any correcting yourself! Check out the steps to creating a quiz below:

  • 1

Pick a subject and topic(s) on which you'd like to quiz your students; we'll put together a group of randomised quiz questions on those topics for you

  • 2

Check that you're happy with the questions and choose to replace questions, add more questions, or edit the topics chosen

  • 3

Share the quiz with your students using a URL or a share code. Your students can use this to take the quiz on their individual accounts for free

  • 4

Click back into the quiz once your students have taken it to check their results, and see stats on what questions and topics students found the easiest/hardest.

Tip! If you'd like to see what the quiz looks like for your students before sharing it with them, you can click 'Preview as a student' in the edit stage.

Videos & Notes

Exam questions are not the only thing we offer within a topic. Once you're on a topic page, click on the 'Videos & Notes' tab to see additional resources available to support learning in that topic. We usually have a mix of suggested resources from the community (other teachers and students), as well as Studyclix-created resources like flashcards and guides.

Collections

Collections are a great way to group questions for downloading/printing. You can group questions in whatever way you'd like. For example, you could try grouping all the hardest questions in a topic and sharing that collection with your class.

Just click the bookmark icon on an exam question to add it to a collection.

Tip! You can also share a collection with a teacher or have a collection shared with you. A great way to collaborate with other teachers on the content you're working on with students.

Hopefully, this has helped you understand what we offer and how it can benefit you. If you have any questions about our features, we'd be more than happy to help; just click the chat icon in the bottom left to reach our customer support team, or email us at hello@studyclix.co.za!
